LAZARE

Favorite track: Porcelain.

Lazare 07:44
Uncontainable reaction Breaking with the typical Irresistible attraction We’re animal chemical Uniform dissolution Defying the mystical Prison of my own construction Animal mechanical I saw the pieces fall apart I saw them in another way I knew the ending from the start I know it all but I want you to stay Let it go Let it swing over the border Leveeing your ocean Carrying what we could have been Pushing, crawling Destroy what’s been hurting Keep us from our guilt Scarring, falling The devil keeps grinning Keep us from our guilt Let it swing over the border Leveeing your ocean Carrying our hope Gravity deceived me Far away, far away a child of clay Far away, far away we slip away Far away far away…
2.
Porcelain 03:08
The road that I drive is paved with silent cages The sun is the same but I can feel the changes Close the shutters, keep us from the dust Anyone else could take me to the border There’s no blindness, they say there’s no danger Nobody else could save you from yourself Don’t you break it off ? Speaking in tongues, you’re back now where you started Oh they could say, the devil’s broken hearted Nobody else could save us from ourselves
3.
Inferno 00:48
We crossed the border We crossed the line No more anger And no more lies I will break you free You’ll feed the jackals I won’t bend to your will Your gaze misleads and your face just faking it
4.
Far 06:18
Devil sings a lullaby With muzzled lips and blinking eyes Of souls dancing on a wire A circle sustained by fire Whip the man with the crowned head Distorted words have been spread Now that we have come this far Mirror show me what we are I’ll be the same If it makes you ok You got something I need All that is real I hear the warning The thunder rumbling Tell me this could be Tell me this could be the end
If I could walk the winding trails to lose you and run away There’s a place where no one’s been Where I end, where you begin Are you listening ? Anywhere you go The voices that you hear The choices that you fear Though you think you know me I won’t keep you safe Roads we have crossed Pictures that we’ve lost Far beyond the bend Where we descend I hear them singing The sound of the wind In the summer breeze Tell me you could be the one I saw the circle scattered down I saw the circle scattered down…

about

Driven by a sense of urgency and contrary to their first record, « Sleepwalker », WOLVE desired to produce an EP as spontaneously as possible :

Mainly recorded live to capture the band's energy, this led to a rawer and more organic sound.

« LAZARE » touches on themes such as resilience, duality, anger, ego… through a soundscape recalling a state of limbo, alternating aerial and brutal passages, making the music evoke a shamanic trance.
